Nova Scotia lacks a dedicated mental health strategy. Families report higher rates of poor mental health and long wait times.

Specialized OCD care is finally here.

OCD North provides expert care for individuals struggling with Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD) throughout Canada. Our virtual clinic offers specialized treatment options tailored to kids, teens, and adults, ensuring personalized care that meets each patient’s unique needs in any province.

Does Online Therapy Work For Nova Scotians?

For some, the process of going into an office for therapy is part of the experience. The time spent traveling to and from the appointment provides valuable opportunities to think, process, and reset.

But what if there aren’t enough OCD specialists near you?

Since 2021, life satisfaction and feeling a sense of community has been on the decline for Nova Scotians. While the mental health system is getting revamped, it’s leaving many Canadians feeling left behind which is evident in long wait times and overall mental health issues across all ages.

OCD treatment often gets misdiagnosed and rural areas like Nova Scotia get left out of the bigger picture.

However, effective therapy isn’t about where you are, it’s about having the right support. Research shows online therapy is just as effective as in-person sessions, especially for evidence-based treatments like Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) for OCD.

Whether you’re a busy parent in Halifax supporting a child with OCD who dreads car rides, living (your best life) in a rural community with limited mental health resources, or simply need the flexibility of virtual care, our online therapy, exclusively focused on obsessive-compulsive disorder, removes barriers and makes specialized OCD care accessible anywhere you are in Nova Scotia.

No matter where you are in the province, OCD North brings expert OCD treatment directly to you – so you can receive the care you need from the comfort of your home.
