Our therapists and Nurse Practitioners are experts in OCD care and treatment. Because OCD is our only focus, we understand how it manifests in kids and adults and can change relationships, school, and the workplace. Break the cycle of OCD.
ERP is tailored to the developmental level of each child, making it an appropriate modality for children as young as six years old. We include parents in the treatment process to support, teach, and guide children how to overcome OCD at home.
OCD affects teenagers in unique ways, so ERP must also be tailored. Taking into consideration the life stressors of being a teenager, ERP considers the impact of puberty and development on the teenage brain.
Across all age groups, ERP is the cornerstone of OCD treatment, aimed at helping individuals gradually face their fears and reduce compulsive behaviors through structured exposure exercises.

Prevalence
OCD affects about 1-2% of the population worldwide, making it one of the more common mental health disorders.
Age of Onset
Often begins in childhood, adolescence, or early adulthood, with the average age of onset being around 19 years old.
Comorbidity
About 90% of individuals with OCD have at least one other mental health condition highlighting the complex nature of OCD.
Knowing you “shouldn’t” be fearful but unable to stop the constant worry, you’re at odds with yourself all the time, and it’s exhausting. OCD has taken so much from you: you feel caged by what it tells you to do or not do; where to go or not go and you’re so frustrated with its rules! If you’re not worried, you’re waiting with baited breath until the fear comes back.
You want to live a life free from the torment of OCD.
Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) is a specialized, evidence-based treatment designed specifically for OCD. We know beginning treatment is a big decision—emotionally, mentally, and financially. Our goal is to help you understand what to expect so you can make an informed, confident choice.
At OCD North, each ERP session is $247.50. Because ERP is structured, goal‑oriented, and designed to create meaningful momentum, most clients invest between $5,000 and $7,000 over the course of a concentrated timeframe.
This range reflects a typical course of care, including weekly sessions, personalized exposure planning, ongoing support, and regular progress reviews with an OCD expert.
Choosing ERP is choosing a treatment that is grounded in research, guided by trained specialists, and focused on helping you regain control from OCD. Here’s why clients often describe it as one of the most valuable investments they’ve made in their well‑being:
You work with therapists who are trained specifically in OCD and ERP. OCD treatment is not general therapy—specialization matters, and it shapes the progress you can make.
ERP gives you practical tools to navigate intrusive thoughts, reduce compulsions, and build long‑lasting resilience. Treatment is structured, targeted, and designed to help you move toward the life you want.
Living with OCD often comes with fear, exhaustion, and uncertainty. Therapy at OCD North is rooted in compassion and a calm, steady approach—giving you a space where you feel understood and supported from day one.
The strategies you learn in ERP aren't temporary. They become tools you can rely on long after therapy ends, helping you stay grounded and confident in your recovery journey.
ERP is an investment in your well‑being, your peace, and your ability to move through life without OCD steering the wheel. While the financial commitment is real, so is the impact of working with therapists who deeply understand OCD and know how to help you navigate it.
If you’re trying to decide whether ERP is the right step, or if you’re concerned about finances impeding your recovery, we’re here to talk it through with you.

HRT teaches you that there’s a reason you feel compelled to pick your skin (called excoriation disorder) or pull your hair (called trichotillomania), and once we understand that reason, we teach you competing responses that compare to the sensation or reason why you pick or pull in the first place. Combined with relaxation training, your brain learns to no longer rely on these behaviours.
